Minute Pirate Bugs

Minute pirate bugs are small but visible insects. They are the best thrips predator, attacking all mobile stages of thrips. In addition, they are predators for whiteflies, spider mites, aphids, caterpillar eggs, leafhoppers, and a variety of beetles. Not only do they hunt and kill prey for food, but they also do it for fun. These insects are best used for active infestations.

One bottle contains approximately 500 minute pirate bugs in a vermiculite substrate. One bottle can treat about 10-15 small/medium plants depending on the amount applied per plant and the proximity of plants to each other. Do not directly apply the bugs with the vermiculite substrate on plants in non-soil substrates such as LECA, pon, moss, perlite, or water.
